Mon Potongo (Mind Flies) traces the journey of a Hindu girl and a Muslim boy who flee persecution in their village and begin anew in Kolkata, surviving on the streets like countless other migrants. Enchanted by an opulent armchair displayed in a showroom near their makeshift home, they dream of sitting on it together as king and queen—though their place in society keeps them at a distance. Working as a van-puller and a domestic helper, they risk everything to chase this dream, confronting the brutal truths of life while navigating the stark divides of wealth, power, and social class.
