The movie centers on two infamous New York crime lords, Frank Costello and Vito Genovese (both portrayed by Robert De Niro), as they battle for dominance over the city’s underworld. Formerly close allies, their friendship unravels due to growing envy and repeated betrayals, setting them on a violent path that will transform both the Mafia and the course of American history.
