In the 2026 comedy Busboys, longtime friends Markie (David Spade) and Steef (Theo Von), who feel trapped in their stagnant septic cleaning jobs, decide to quit. After Markie’s girlfriend breaks up with him for someone she believes is more successful, he becomes convinced that waiters enjoy wealth, respect, and romantic attention. Motivated by this idea, the two friends travel to a border town in Arizona with the goal of working their way up in the restaurant industry.
