Etharkkum Thunindhavan (2022)

Etharkkum Thunindhavan (ET) centers on Kannabiran (Suriya), a lawyer living in a Tamil Nadu village known for standing up strongly for women’s safety. The calm of this community is disrupted when Inba, the influential son of a powerful minister, operates a criminal network that lures young women into fake relationships, secretly records them, and uses the footage to blackmail and exploit them. As the scale of the abuse comes to light, Kannabiran is pushed beyond the limits of the law, taking matters into his own hands to confront the system and punish those responsible. Loosely inspired by the real-life Pollachi sexual assault case, the film also weaves in Kannabiran’s romantic relationship with Aadhini (Priyanka Arul Mohan).
