Set during India’s 1990 economic crisis, Governor follows Raman, a hesitant bureaucrat who is unexpectedly made the Governor of the Reserve Bank of India at a time when the country is nearing financial collapse. With inflation soaring, fuel shortages worsening, and public panic growing, he is forced to deal with intense political pressure and a fragile economic system as he works to keep the nation from descending into chaos.
