Humans In The Loop (2025)

Nehma, an Adivasi woman, begins working with artificial intelligence at a secluded data center in Jharkhand. After years of enduring discrimination and hurtful remarks driven by prejudice, she chooses to leave her partner and return to her ancestral village with her children.

To provide for her family, she takes up an unexpected job as a data labeler, training AI systems with the same care and patience as a mother nurturing her child. As Nehma immerses herself in this work, she gradually discovers the quiet yet pervasive human biases hidden within AI, leading her to wonder if technology can ever truly capture the essence of an Indigenous perspective.
