Jaalbandi (2022)

After finishing his studies, Anish joins a well-known insurance company as an agent. Struggling to deliver results at work, he is advised by his supervisor, Gouranga da, to place an advertisement in a local newspaper. The very next day, celebrated film producer Adinath Mullick unexpectedly visits Anish to purchase a life insurance policy worth ₹10 crore. Adinath initially names Bharat Seva Ashram as the beneficiary, but later expresses his intention to change the nominee to someone called Chitralekha Sen.

As events unfold, Adinath’s son Amitabha and daughter Gargi grow consumed by greed and begin scheming to secure the policy in their own names, drawing Anish into their manipulation. At the same time, Gouranga da’s daughter, Champakali, devises her own plan—she proposes marriage to Anish in return for persuading her father to finalize the deal. Amid this chaos, Anish crosses paths with Riyanka, a popular television actress. By a strange coincidence, her husband Bobby dies by suicide around the same time, and Anish once again finds himself caught in another emotional snare.

Torn between the promise of a ₹10 crore policy that could transform his future and the complicated influence of three women—Gargi, Champakali, and Riyanka—Anish’s life spirals further out of control. Bobby’s death and Adinath’s sudden car accident only deepen his turmoil, entangling him in an ever-growing web of intrigue and misfortune. The question remains: will Anish find a way out, or is he destined to sink deeper into an endless downward spiral?
