Set within a close-knit Dominican American neighborhood in The Bronx, Rico (Juan Collado) spends his summer making money by selling homemade “nutcracker” cocktails from a cooler while enjoying a carefree lifestyle and pursuing romance. However, his easygoing world begins to change when his teenage girlfriend, Destiny (Destiny Checo), starts staying with him and his family, turning their cramped apartment into the center of their complicated young relationship. As their bond deepens, both are forced to confront the realities of adulthood far sooner than expected in a city that never slows down.

In his feature-film debut, writer-director Joel Alfonso Vargas brings his hometown to life, working alongside breakout performers Juan Collado and Destiny Checo to create an honest and heartfelt portrayal of life in The Bronx. Blending humor, warmth, and realism, the film captures the energy of urban living and the joys and challenges of youth when unexpected circumstances change everything.
