Mastul: Beyond The Mast (2026)

Aboard a river-bound oil tanker responsible for supplying fuel, Old Maqbool, the kind-hearted cook, regularly offers his best wishes to the crew. However, the ambitious helmsman distrusts him, suspecting that Maqbool is secretly working as a spy for the vessel’s owner, and constantly mistreats him. During a maintenance stop at the port, Maqbool develops a friendship with Noora, a young stowaway searching for safety. Meanwhile, the helmsman takes advantage of the tanker’s downtime to secretly steal and smuggle oil, drawing the owner’s suspicion. On an unexpected visit, the owner is impressed by Maqbool’s cooking and permits Noora to remain aboard as his assistant. Fearing that his own illegal activities will be exposed, the helmsman frames Noora for theft, setting off a chain of deception, suspicion, and growing tension among the crew.
