Meesaya Murukku 2 (2026)

Jeeva is a remarkably gifted yet carefree young Gaana performer who aspires to elevate his street-born melodies to international stardom. Although music runs deep in his ancestry, his lofty ambitions hit a wall against entrenched societal obstacles. While his forebears saw their musical aspirations crushed—his grandfather by unyielding social institutions and his father by bitter life circumstances—Jeeva’s greatest obstacle remains his own personal shortcomings and internal struggles. The narrative traces the evolution of indie music across eras, shifting from historic Madras settings to the contemporary age, as Jeeva fights to safeguard his signature style and shatter his family's lineage of defeat. Bolstered by his devoted best friend Harshath and guided by the steadfast support of key female figures in his life, Jeeva sets out to secure the worldwide stage his beloved genre has long earned.
