“Mon Je Bojhena” is a neatly made film that blends a family atmosphere with a deep romantic feeling.
In 2013, director Sohanur Rahman Sohan began work on a movie titled Lovely: Mon Bojhe Na, with Arifin Shuvo and Toma Mirza signed on. It was to be the first film from the production house The Rain Pictures.
Shooting began in Sri Lanka, but before filming could continue properly, Sohan left the project due to a dispute with the producer. Producer Foyezul Islam Shahin then stepped in to handle the outdoor direction and cinematography himself. After returning to Bangladesh, Shahadat Hossain Liton was assigned the task of completing the film; he finished the remaining work in several breaks over time.
Now, after a long 12 years, the movie is being released under a new name. Not only the title, but the producer and director have changed: the new production company is Impress Telefilm Limited, and Ayesha Siddika is the director. Renamed Mon Je Bojhena, the film was released on Friday, November 7, in four theaters across the country.
