In 1999, with Israel’s control over southern Lebanon approaching a tipping point, acclaimed Israeli architect Yacov Rechter is tasked with designing a monument to honor the fallen soldiers of the Christian South Lebanon Army. However, his idealistic son and heir, Amnon, urges him to create something entirely different—a memorial that pays tribute to all victims of the conflict, both Christian and Muslim. As tensions rise between father and son over issues of loyalty, responsibility, and the role of art, their creative struggle reflects the deep divisions within the nation, turning the monument into a powerful reminder of a fragile and fleeting peace.
