The Primus separates the Mixed Yuan Bead into two parts: a spirit bead and a demon bead. The spirit bead is meant to reincarnate as a human and assist King Zhou in founding a new dynasty, while the demon bead is destined to give rise to a dark entity that brings disaster to mankind. Ne Zha was originally chosen to be born from the spirit bead as a heroic figure, but due to the beads being swapped, he instead emerges as a demonic being.
