Shapludu (2019)

Irfan has acted as the moral and political guide to Arman, just as Ahsan has been to him. Yet, a string of grim events—female trafficking, drug smuggling, the disappearance of a foreign journalist, and a bomb blast—shakes their quiet town of Thanchi. Who are the ones preying on the aborigines under the cover of night? Who roam with bloodied faces and weapons during Vaisavi? Why does Arman keep being made the scapegoat? And who benefits from his possible demise?

As Arman searches for answers, he plunges into a terrifying world of dark truths that shake his faith. This marks the beginning of his relentless journey to save Pushpa and protect his country. The story unfolds as a tale of Arman’s love for Pushpa, the devotion of Ahsan and Irfan to their nation, and, in part, the betrayal of one’s country. It also touches on Titli’s struggles in an orphanage, Nazrul’s sacrifice, and the death of Arman’s mother. At its core, it is a story of patriotism.
