In the village of Ramgarh, retired police chief Thakur Baldev Singh (Sanjeev Kumar) hatches a plan to take down the feared bandit Gabbar Singh (Amjad Khan), recruiting two small-time criminals, Jai (Amitabh Bachchan) and Veeru (Dharmendra), for assistance. When Gabbar attacks the village, Jai and Veeru are initially baffled by Thakur’s inaction. They soon discover that he is powerless because Gabbar had severed his arms. Fueled by anger and determination, the duo intensifies their efforts to bring justice.
