Shona Bondhu (2017) is a Bangladeshi romantic drama that follows a rural young woman (Pori Moni) who falls in love with a rich man (D.A. Tayeb). Their relationship is tested by class divisions and the intrusion of another woman (Popy), as the film examines themes of love, manipulation, and betrayal in a village backdrop. The story concludes on a tragic note when the woman is murdered by the man despite her unwavering devotion.
