A nervous 12-year-old struggles to survive the harsh social hierarchy at an all-boys water polo summer camp. He becomes caught up in a brutal ritual aimed at an outcast suffering from what the boys call “The Plague.” But as the boundary between prank and reality fades, he begins to worry that the joke may conceal something far more serious.
